Fiscal printers

fiscal printer

A fiscal printer is an electronic cash register (ECR), which is necessary for the organization of the seller's workplace in order to more accurately and completely record sales. The fiscal recorder is not a separate, independent element, but performs its functions exclusively as a part of the POS-computer system. This type of ECR has no keyboard and works under the control of special programs, called front-office.

Fiscal recorders are designed to process and store fiscal information, the output of alphanumeric information on the cashier's check in the computer-cash systems used in retail, catering, services and telecommunications, pawnshops, the sale of jewelry, payments for mobile services.

Fiscal printer refers to registrars of sales transactions and must be entered in the state register of electronic cash register (ECR or RRO in Ukrainian). The main difference between an ordinary cash register and a POS system with software and fiscal printer is that apart from effective accounting of the goods sold, the software helps to implement the functionality of the loyalty systems and all due to the fact that this device is inextricably linked to a computer network of the store, cafe or any other organization.

Fiscal recorders are differentiated by the principle of printing to matrix and thermal printers. Thermal printing does not require an ink cartridge, thermal printer is faster than matrix printing and is virtually silent. Most fiscal printers have a built-in cutter that allows you to separate checks quickly.
